Operating since May of 2003 in Rainsville, TheraSport has provided a wide range of physical therapy services to patients across Sand Mountain and surrounding DeKalb and Jackson counties.
The ultimate goal of our facility is to be able to provide a professional, yet comfortable physical therapy experience that would feel more like home to patients than medical in nature.
TheraSport is sure to help patient’s to achieve the best possible treatment and chance for recovery. We have cardiovascular equipment that adjusts to patients of all sizes and is specific to different patient populations, including elderly patients and total joint patients. We also have weight equipment that is very user friendly and fits all patient types as well.
Our sports/functional training area for sport specific rehabilitation is available for our athletes to use during their treatment. Athletes can swing a bat, shoot a ball or even do functional drills on a suspended floor that is better for their joints. Finally, patients now have access to our 92-degree rehabilitation specific pool with handrails surrounding the pool, jets that provide resistance in the water for strengthening, and a deep water well for lumbar traction.
Fort Payne
Our Fort Payne location opened in the fall of 2024 to service the City of Fort Payne and surrounding areas. It is conveniently located on the South end of Fort Payne, just a block from Food City.
This facility provides a very comfortable, yet professional atmosphere that feels more like home than a medical office. TheraSport Physical Therapy provides the best care for all types of rehabilitation including general orthopedics, sports medicine, total joint replacements, chronic pain, worker’s compensation injuries, and a variety of other disease processes.
Our Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant boast the only dual credentialed therapists in the county with also being Certified Athletic Trainers.
